POSA and its history
What is POSA? Pinner Old Students Association is for all former pupils and staff of Pinner County, Pinner Grammar and Pinner County Grammar Schools, Pinner Junior and Pinner Sixth Form Colleges located in Beaulieu Drive between 1937 and 1982. The school and college always had a lively old students association but after the closure the association gradually declined and closed. With the advent of the internet, Friends Reunited etc., two or three year groups found themselves in contact with a reasonable number of people and with it came the idea of reforming the association. Things snowballed, people knew people and in 1998 Pinner Old Students Association arose from the ashes. A voluntary committee was formed and all the members worked hard at building up a Pinner network. At the same time they managed to organise an open day at the old school building, now Heathfield School, in Beaulieu Drive and bring out, what has become, an annual magazine. A few more people have joined the committee over the years and the Pinner network has grown even bigger. You will find all the necessary information about joining the association, subscribing to the newsletter or coming to the open day on this site. Committee Member Contacts:
